Technical Information

The anti-pilling treatment ensures that the garment retains its insulating power and finish over time. This gilet is treated against pilling on the outside, where it is often subject to the rubbing of a backpack or simply moving arms.
We are aware that we need to act to preserve our natural playground and that's why we have chosen to use recycled polyester fibres in the gilet’s filling and main material: we also reduce our CO2 impact. This is still not enough and that's why we are working to make this product eco-designed one day.

To meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested out in the heart of nature in the type of conditions you may encounter during your hikes. Our teams, as well as a tester panel (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers), test products throughout their development until they go to market.

Product test
We carry out two types of thermal tests. The first is on the component and the second involves replicating the temperature, wind (5 km/h) and humidity conditions you will encounter during your hikes. These tests are used to validate our design choices and adjust the placement of the thermal insulation where you need it most. This gilet has been tested for optimal comfort in outdoor temperatures between 10°C and 13°C.
