Technical Information

1
Living room
Square living area measuring 3 m along the side, equalling 9 sqm | Internal height of 2.25m
2
Pitching and dismantling
Simple to set up: aluminium tubes for the structure and fibreglass hoops for the roof. The living area structure is self-supporting. We recommend that 2 people pitch the tent.
3
Sun protection
The Ti0² -coated fabric is SPF 50+. Caution: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin with sunscreen.
4
Ventilation
A door with a mosquito screen window. Can be configured as three half-doors or three open doors.
5
Wind resistance
We test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the living room to the wind. A properly pitched living room with all guy ropes fitted should remain habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h near the ground.
6
Waterproofing
We test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, the equivalent of tropical rain of 200 mm per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This living room is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips.

9
Poles and tent pegs
Poles - All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage. Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
10
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The environmental impact of the product is calculated based on its entire life cycle and using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is a voluntary supporter of this environmentally-friendly labelling approach.

Maintenance advice
Our camping living rooms have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability for your camping living room, it's important to store it when not in use.
