Technical Information

How can I be sure that my baby is warm during their sledging activities in the snow?
Our designers use wadding to keep the body warm. This polyester-based synthetic component traps more or less air depending on its thickness. So the thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.
How can I be sure that my baby is dry during their sledging activities in the snow?
The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in mm of a water column (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2000 mm column of water. A guarantee of the jacket's quality. The fabric of this coat is waterproof on the printed side.
How to dress your babies so they stay warm on your sledging outings?
To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: Layer 1 or base layer, to stay dry. Layer 2 or the insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or the protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
One jacket for two styles
Our Lugik winter jackets are reversible and have two different styles to keep your babies at the cutting edge of fashion this autumn/winter.
What is the water repellent feature?
A water-repellent fabric lets water run off its surface, without absorbing it: the fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and warm. You can see drops of water beading and running off the surface of the fabric. The water repellent property is obtained by applying a treatment to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
To reactivate the water repellent property, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 30°C and rinse thoroughly. You can use your usual washing powder but no fabric softener. Then leave your jacket to air dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn your garment the right way round and put it in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the water-repellent property of the fabric.
Where to write my baby's name on this winter jacket
A space in the pocket to add your child's name in order to personalise the product. A practical feature for finding your jacket at the crèche.

Product test
All the sledging products are tested under the real-life conditions for which they are designed: snow, cold and all the conditions you're likely to encounter when sledging. The design teams, product leaders, engineers and pattern makers ensure that the programme for which the product has been designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.

Stockage tips
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
