2
Fill Power of the down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled 75/25, the fill power of the down/feather is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 540 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
3
The advantages of duck down and feather filling (for the back and front of the down jacket)
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: with equal warmth, feather is lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible *Our feathers come from Chinese ducks raised for their meat – we collect their feathers after they have been slaughtered.
4
The advantages of synthetic down filling (for the arms, sides and hood)
Synthetic down (wadded) filling provides an appealing alternative to feather down: - it provides good thermal insulation even when wet - it provides a little breathability and may be recommended for dynamic activity (down is recommended for static or moderate activity)

Care instructions for a down jacket with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below: http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket
6
In the event of rain
The material of this padded jacket is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the fabric so it takes longer for water to get inside the jacket, giving you time to find shelter. But the padded jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
7
Note regarding the light colour versions
The X-Light down jacket is made with a fine fabric in order to make it lightweight and compact. Please note that the feathers are slightly visible through the fabric of the light grey and yellow colour versions of the range.

A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most environmentally-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Test
All our padded jackets have been laboratory tested on thermal mannequins in 5 km/h winds, reproducing a hike involving a moderate level of exertion. This allows you to make the best choice by comparing their thermal insulation on a scale of 1 to 5.

Product test
Thermal chamber test It validates our design choices. We reproduce the temperature, wind and humidity conditions that you encounter in the mountains. In this way we can adapt our thermal insulation where you most need it. Feather impermeability test We use a test machine to ensure that the feathers do not escape from your jacket during your activities. So our fabrics are "sealed" with the feathers to ensure a lasting heat.

Stockage tips
Store on a hanger in a clean and dry place

Maintenance tips
Caring for down jackets requires special attention. We recommend using specialist dry cleaning services to maintain your down jacket. Machine wash at 30°C, add 2 tennis balls to restore the loft of the down. Rinse twice. Tumble dry (strongly recommended): synthetic programme with 3 tennis balls to restore the loft of the down, for several cycles until the down has dried completely, to prevent the feathers from clumping and reducing insulating power.
