SHIN GUARDS
When you play football, your shins and ankles are put under severe strain. They need to be protected against knocks and impacts.
KIPSTA offers a full range of shin guards depending on the area you want to protect and the type of support you're after. These shin pads conform to the European standard for trauma limitation during impacts.
SHIN PROTECTION - For simple shin protection, you may be looking for a product that can be quickly attached via 2 elastic bands which help to keep the shin guards secure and adjustable. For this, we recommend shin guards from our F100 range. You can use an elastic sleeve to keep the shin guards in place, providing extra support. W recommend products in our F180 range. When wearing shin guards, don't forget to use a support. It's essential!
For enhanced shin and ankle protection (including malleoli protection), you may be looking for a product with an integral (but also detachable) ankle strap with a quick and easy elastic band fastener for a precise fit. We recommend choosing from our F140 product range.
A Shin guard is made of different parts (simple shin protection, ankle protection which is either attached or separated and a support sock.) You can choose your shin guards according to the type of protection and support you're looking for:
Shin guards protect our vulnerable shins from the exposure to tackles and kicks. Our shin bones are not properly insulated by muscle and tissue. Their location and proximity to the locus of action in soccer (our feet) make their use a priority. Without adequate protection in that area, you are not supposed to be allowed to play. It’s just as important as wearing a seatbelt in your car when you play football!
