Technical Information

Durable materials
This polyamide fabric uses 20 denier thread and resists 20,000 cycles of abrasion. Martindale test, Standard 12947-2 Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 39 g/sqm, 20 denier Lining: 100% polyamide fabric 35 g/sqm, mix of 15 to 20 denier threads
Technical information on the wadding
We use 100% polyester wadding (25% recycled) Wadding is made from silicon-coated spiral fibres increasing compressibility and high resistance. Despite its low thickness, it has high insulation properties thanks to the air trapped inside, and remains lightweight. It remains warm even when wet.
Do you know why the inner lining of your padded jacket is grey?
Because the fabric we use reduces CO2 emissions by 40%. The fabric used is innovative because it mixes a self-dyed black thread and an undyed thread. Compared to a conventional dyeing process, this process reduces by: • 66% fine particle emissions (PM2.5) • 74% Eutrophication of fresh water • 68% eutrophication of sea water
Additional sustainable development information
On the black Trek 100 model, the outer fabric uses a clean dyeing process known as dope dyeing (the thread is dyed before the yarn is woven) reducing CO2 emissions by 36%. More information:
Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing itThis prevents the fabric from soaking up water & keeps it lightweight & breathableThe fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with useTo reactivate it, follow the guide:
Inside flap under the zip that protects from the wind. Elasticated cuffs, Soft fabric flap at the top of the collar to protect the chin. Tightening with an elastic cord and toggle at the hem.
