Technical Information

1
Pack composition
The pack includes: 1 x DIN Subea SCD 100 regulator with unbalanced piston (75 cm hose) - 1 x Subea octopus (100 cm hose) - 1 x Subea pressure gauge
2
An unbalanced first stage, it works equally well in warm or cold water
The Subea SCD 100 regulator is a "club" regulator that stands out for its reliability, strength and easy maintenance. This Tribord regulator is an unbalanced model. It works equally well in warm or cold water, simply requiring greater breathing effort depending on the depth.
3
Second stage and easy breathing
A regulator second stage has to translate natural breathing behaviour into mechanical reality. A high quality second stage can significantly reduce stress and help improve diver safety by providing air more easily and in sufficient quantity, without the need for unnecessary effort. Breathing in is easier thanks to the hydrodynamic openings in the cover. The exclusive design of the cover prevents continuous flow through the regulator
4
BREATHING OUT: more visibility and less noise
When breathing out, ergonomic whiskers channel the flow of air bubbles to the cheeks so that the noise does not disturb the diver and so that the bubbles do not pass in front of the mask. Less disturbance and greater pleasure when diving!
5
SUBEA regulators: exclusive anatomical mouthpiece !
These regulator mouthpieces have been designed to be highly comfortable in the mouth thanks to their anatomical shape developed with orthodontists. The exclusive shape of this mouthpiece makes it easier to keep inside your mouth thanks to the bite wings, tongue support and the different thicknesses and densities of the material (mono and dual density) that take into account the jaw closure angle.
6
Weight and length of the hoses
Weight of the first stage: 660 grams Weight of the second stage with hose (75 cm): 345 grams Weight of the octopus with hose (100 cm): 365 grams Weight of the pressure gauge: 260 g
7
SUBEA pressure gauge: diving pressure gauge for tank pressures of up to 300 bars
Pressure gauge up to 300 bars that can be adapted to 200 and 300 bar technology. Compatible with high pressure systems. Red zone between 50 bar and 0 bar for added safety. Additional ring on the side for attaching a safety strap. Pressure gauge with stainless one-piece chrome-plated brass housing – Explosion-proof, shockproof. Sensitive beryllium copper spiral element Hose with outside diameter of 55 mm. Male screw thread. 7/16'' HP. Backlit dial.

The SUBEA diving octopus is a valve second stage, with a large diaphragm and a purge button.
Its simple, robust construction offers durable reliability and makes the SUBEA octopus the ideal second stage for new divers, as well as the perfect choice for safe diving thanks to its one-metre yellow hose for easy air sharing.

Regulator certification
These regulator mouthpieces have been designed to be highly comfortable in the mouth thanks to their anatomical shape developed with orthodontists. The exclusive shape of this mouthpiece makes it easier to keep inside your mouth thanks to the bite wings, tongue support and the different thicknesses and densities of the material (mono and dual density) that take into account the jaw closure angle.

Maintenance advice
Never use solvents or hydrocarbon-based products to clean or lubricate the regulator yourself. Never use spray cans, because the gas propellent can attack the plastic.
11
Servicing the regulators
Subea advises you to service your regulator every two years and to make a visual inspection at least once a year. These two inspections must be made in a SUBEA certified workshop. A service is also recommended after a particularly intensive season (more than 100 dives), or after a long period of inactivity. http://atelier.decathlon.fr/nos-prestations/sports-deau/prestastions-sport-deau

Product test
Our technical partner: Planet Ocean (PADI 5-star diving centre) based at the Water Sports Centre by Decathlon in Hendaye, France. The centre uses SUBEA diving equipment throughout the year. The team of instructors are rigorously involved in the development of our SUBEA products: from the design phase with the teams (product managers, designers and engineers), to the endurance tests with the help of the centre’s divers (from beginners to trainee instructors, all year long).

Stockage tips
It is important to store diving equipment away from sources that produce ozone. Keep your equipment in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
